I am so excited to (finally) finish this faux fireplace tutorial for yall. This project is simple, and it’s not fancy. I love it because it is a basic, cheap DIY that you can easily take and mold to your own style. I keep our home decorated fairly clean and simple. I like a lot of straight lines, which ends up meaning that things are often easy to build. Things are also often easy to build because I am NOT a master DIY-er or handywoman (and neither is my husband). I am going to share with you how we did it. Disclaimer: I am sure there are more “official” or “proper” ways of doing it. But that brings me back to my previous statement. I am not a master. This way worked great for us! This is for anyone else out there who wants to DIY, but needs to keep it easy!
Fun fact: We spend an average of 122 days a year sleeping. That’s ONE THIRD of our life. What. Mind is kinda blown. With that said, sleep hygiene is so important. A couple of years ago, I started sleeping terribly. I wouldn’t have trouble falling asleep, but I just could not stay asleep. Once that started happening, I had to trial and error so. many. things. to help me get rest! Tried melatonin — didn’t work. Tried white noise — didn’t work. But today I’m going to share with you what did work AND where to get sheets that help you sleep better. Cheers to that. Click below to see more!
Sometimes gift-giving stresses me out. Because let’s be honest, a good gift can leave a big—and lasting—impression on its recipient. That’s why knowing how to give a great gift is a skill that we can all stand to benefit from! Especially around the holidays. One of my favorite gifting hacks are the one, the only, gift baskets/gift boxes! Maybe it’s that little bit of OCD I have in me, but I love coming up with a theme and curating a little box of things I know someone will love. Today, I am on the blog with Tuesday Morning sharing how to create a beautiful gift box WITHOUT breaking the bank! Each of these boxes contain name-brand, high quality items at a fraction of the cost. To be specific, each basket cost under $25 for everything inside. Do you like great deals without sacrificing quality? You came to the right party. Click below to see!
This is 100% no secret that Target is just freaking a-maz-ing. I know I’m not alone when I say that it’s therapeutic so slowly walk the aisles. Especially without kids. On the blog today, I am sharing some of my current Target favorites. I either own these things, or wish I owned them! Whether you’re looking for a graduation dress, an Easter outfit, home decor, or Spring shoes, I’ve got ya. Look no further. It’s all here. I’ve organized it by category for ease of reading. Hope yall enjoy!
YAY! Ya’ll. It’s Saturday. Happy Saturday to those of you who are off. I work this weekend, but I am still excited for all of you that don’t! I recently have gotten a lot of requests for more recipes, healthy food ideas, etc etc. So this morning, I thought I’d share with you my go-to healthy breakfasts. Now, I am not a nutritionist or a dietitian or fitness coach or anything along those lines. I am just a mama who tries her best to start the day off with something nourishing and yummy. And this is what I have found works for my body. I am a creature of habit in the morning, so 99% of the time, I have one of these three things for breakfast. I love them that much.
Hi all! Currently sitting in my pajamas with an “I-work-night-shift” hangover. Two weeks until day shift and I can’t wait. Recently, I have been getting a lot of questions about how to grow your Instagram account. Like so many that I put out a poll in my Insta stories to see if you guys wanted to see a blog post about it. And the overwhelming answer was a YES. Now, I don’t have hundreds of thousands of followers and I just started really doing thing Instagram thing in October, but I will definitely share with y’all what I have found that works and what I have found that did not work! Keep in mind, what works for me might not work for you 100%, but I sure hope it does and that you are able to walk away from this blog post with a little bit of insight into how to grow!
We bought a builder-grade house. And (surprise) it came with builder-grade mirrors. You know, the plain-jane mirrors connected by the little clips. I knew that I wanted to do SOMETHING to make them look better. I contemplated buying new mirrors altogether, which was turning out to be very expensive. So I searched for a more budget-friendly alternative! One of my Instagram buddies, @societyofsumner, had posted how she framed her builder-grade mirrors. Hers came out so good. And I knew I had to do it! I did a little internet search and there are A LOT of people who have done this in various ways. I’m going to share with y’all how I did it. And if you aren’t already wondering… the whole project cost me about $75 for both bathrooms! Continue reading “The Easiest DIY Mirror Upgrade”
