Creating Your Cozy Space

If you didn’t know, I’m a huge supporter of all things cozy. Cozy pajamas, cozy socks, cozy blankets, cozy rooms. During the holidays, it’s easy to create that cozy, festive home filled with lots of warmth. But what about after? We still have a couple months of winter, and I don’t know about you, but I definitely want that cozy feeling to stay even if the holidays have come to a close. Especially since I live somewhere that temperatures drop well-below freezing! In the spirit of that, I thought I’d share some of my favorite tips for creating that cozy feeling in your own home. Click below to read more.

After Christmas Sales: Home + Clothing

Currently enjoying this view for a couple more days. Yes, Christmas is over. But we wait till January 1st to take down the tree! Taking down my Christmas decorations always makes me a liiiiittle sad. Christmas is so magical and it always goes by too quickly! I have loved the time we spent with our family and friends and I enjoyed every second. But when one season ends, another begins. And I am so excited for the new year and to see what 2019 brings. This morning when I checked my emails, there were sale alerts all over the place. Cold Weather Must Haves

The temperatures have dropped as low as 15 degrees in North Idaho so that inspired me to share with y’all my cold weather must haves! Growing up in Southern California, I had no real cold weather clothes. My idea of cold was high 50s low 60s. So I have slowly collected an arsenal of cozy, toasty, warm stuff. Dick’s Sporting Goods is 20% off online today (including sale!) with free shipping so I have collected my favorite cold weather must haves from their website to share with you! This post is not sponsored by Dick’s. I just love a good sale + they have a freaking good selection.

Peel & Stick Wallpaper: What You Need To Know

Wallpaper is officially making a comeback, yall. And it is so much better than it was in the 90’s. Peel and freakin’ stick! Hell. Ya. But I get it, even the peel & stick is a little daunting. Hopefully this post puts you at ease. Because I have never applied wallpaper before. But it was 100% doable and makes a real statement! Seriously. It also makes everything else easier to design around, in my opinion. Once I had my grey brick wallpaper up, it kind of “set the tone” for the room & made everything else easier to pick.

Whenever I post a picture of my master on my Instagram (@everydaykacie), I get so many messages about my wallpaper. Does it peel in the corners? Was it easy to put on? Would I recommend it? So I decided to write this to answer all your wallpaper questions, & offer a couple tips, too.

Christmas Place-Setting YALL!

Happy November 1st! What does that mean to me? Snow is in the forecast in North Idaho. The temperatures are dropping. And it’s Christmas decorating time! I, myself, really just can’t wait until after Thanksgiving. I wish I could be that strong, but 4ish weeks is just not enough time to enjoy all the Christmas feels. So it’s happening. Like now. And what’s happening first? The table. Is it just me or is place-setting kinda intimidating? Don’t get me wrong, my table is FO. SHO. my favorite thing to decorate besides the tree. But there are so many choices. Chargers, plates, napkins, placemats, napkin rings vs. napkin place-card holders vs. greenery sprigs. I see so many gorgeous Christmas tables & trying to decide what to do with mine always makes me think. And think. And rearrange. And rearrange some more! And I likely will continue to rearrange up until Christmas because I DO get bored. In hopes of helping someone working on their Christmas table, I decided to do a quick blog about some different place-setting ideas in hopes that it helps yall create yours. I’m not talking entire tablescape. That’s a story for another time. I’m talking everything that goes on top of the placement. That little area can have so much Christmas magic!
